Oumjrane is a picturesque village nestled in the Anti-Atlas mountains of Morocco, 70 kilometers south of Alnif and 85 kilometers west of Zagora. Home to approximately 2,400 people, this authentic Saharan settlement offers visitors a glimpse into traditional Berber life.

Mining Heritage

Bou N'has: "Where the Copper Is"

The desert region north of Oumjrane bears the ancient name Bou N'has, meaning "there where the copper is" in the local Berber language. This area holds the largest polymetallic veins in the region and continues to be the center of significant mining activity.
